Are you interested in learning more about the EU decision making process and pan-European social-democratic and socialist values?
In the frame of the PES Council in Madrid, FEPS, the Foundation for European Progressive Studies, is offering to PES activists the opportunity to enjoy a training and information day on November the 30th 2008.

The forum will be opened by a debate on “European Social Standards”, with Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, Zita Gurmai and Ernst Stetter, and followed by two training session, the first focusing on the functioning and work of the PES as well as the Socialist Group in the European Parliament, while the second, “EU decision-making”, aims at explaining the functioning of the EU Institutions.

This will constitute a great opportunity for meeting other PES activists coming from all over Europe, sharing your experiences, and taking part as a guest in the PES Council in Madrid on December the 1st and 2nd.
Moreover, the forum will also include cultural activities, like a “Madrid historical Tour”.

A participation fee of 100€ will be asked, in return FEPS will cover all the accommodation expenses in Madrid and reimburse the travel costs (economy fare/second class).

Are you willing to participate? Please, download the invitation to get more information and follow the link to register.

This is excellent! I really can't wait to go :-) On behalf of the Danish PES activists I'm sure I can say that we are very excited and counting the days until the FEPS training seminar.
